Award-Winning Writer, Producer and Former White House Staff Member

Eli Attie is an Emmy-winning writer, producer, and former White House staff member. He was Al Gore's Chief White House and campaign speechwriter from 1997 through Gore's concession of the 2000 election, which he co-wrote with Gore.

Attie then became a writer on the NBC-TV series The West Wing for the last five of the show's seven seasons, ultimately serving as supervising producer. A number of the show's story lines came from Attie's own experiences in politics. He has been a regular guest on the “West Wing Weekly” podcast.
